How many commits make a software? How many years and people does it take to go from Beta to Mature?

Libre Office is a free, open source office suite which has been maintained by The Document Foundation, after forking from OpenOffice.org in 2010. This project explores the inter-relationships between the contributors, the code and the product lifecycle of a mature open source of FLOSS Project, such as Libre Office.

The data used in the making of this poster was manually sourced from multiple sources, cleaned using MS Excel and explored in Processing.

This project was made for Dietmar Offenhuber's's Information Design Research Methodologies class at Northeastern University, towards my MFA in Information Design & Visualization.
