Less than Unusual, is a publication that was designed to create an awareness about the different sexual and gender identities in India, and all over the world. In a country like India, terms like "transgender", "transexual", "eunuch" and "gay" are often assumed to be interchangeable. There are three (partially) accepted categories: Male, Female and Other, but no distinction is made beyond the "other" category.

This book, less than unusual, documents the stories of four individuals in the Indian and Pakistani region of subcontinental Asia. One is gay, another is a closeted cross-dresser. The remaining two are people from closely related, yet distinct identities- a transexual, and a transgender. It is a compilation of stories and corresponding artworks, as featured even in a well-known magazine in India.
